- Certificants must complete a minimum of fifteen (15) contact hours (1.50 Continuing Education Units) of Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) approved Continuing Education Units (CEUs) during each two (2) year re-certification cycle.
- CEU's completed before initial certification is granted will not be eligible to satisfy re-certification requirements. CEU's can only be applied to the recertification cycle in which they are completed and will not be attributed to future certification periods.
- PBMCT's must maintain their own records of CEU's earned during each re-certification period, and are responsible for maintaining these records for at least two (2) years after the certification cycle ends. Continuing Education Unit (CEU) Certificant Tracker.xlsx

Re-certification Approval Process:
All applications for re-certification are reviewed in the order they are received. If the application for re-certification is approved, an updated certification will be issued. The Program reserves the right to audit any PBMCT at any time but a certain number of PBMCTs will be randomly selected to be audited for CEU requirement verification. If requested by the Program, a PBMCT is required to comply with audit instructions and requirements and may be asked to provide additional information regarding their CEUs. All materials supplied to the Program, become property of the Program once submitted. Failure to comply with audit requirements will result in certification being revoked.
Certificants will be de-certified upon the expiration date of their certification if they fail to apply for re-certification and meet re-certification criteria. Certificants are encouraged to apply for re-certification and pay the re-certification fee at least ninety (90) days prior to the expiration of their certification. Certificants who become de-certified must stop using the PBMCT credential immediately.
