Applicants interested in sitting for the Pharmacy Benefit Management Certified Technician (PBMCT) examination must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age: The minimum age requirement is required to confirm that each applicant/candidate is legally able to consent to sit for the PBMCT examination. The verification of a candidate’s age can be met by the individual providing a copy of a government issued identification that lists the applicant/candidate’s birth date.
- Demonstrate competency and knowledge of the Pharmacy Benefit Management field by meeting the minimum requirement of 80 hours of work experience in the PBM field -or- 6 months of experience working in a healthcare or pharmacy related field.
*Due to the PBMCT Program's accreditation requirements, Committee Members (E.g., Item Writing Committee or Item Review Committee) will NOT be eligible to sit for the PBMCT Examination for a period of two (2) years following the end of their Committee participation.
